I still remember the day. August 3, 2021. Miles was 7 months old and I was just starting to crawl out of the haze of postpartum anxiety and sleep deprivation. I happened to click on the “updates” tab of my email (an act I rarely do) and saw a name I didn’t recognize. Not unusual, but I was intrigued enough to open it. Inside, I found a black-and-white image of tiny baby fingers delicately wrapped around a mother’s hand. Beneath it was an invitation to a writing circle for new parents.
Right there with you! Writing has been the one thing that has brought me back to myself since becoming a mother.
